Kyiv. Amid Strikes on Bridges Kyiv plans to begin construction of backup crossings across the Dnieper River next week in case of bridge damage, announced Minister of Reconstruction, Infrastructure, and Transport Kalashnik. The projects involve embankments and pontoon crossings that will connect the left and right banks. According to the minister, construction could take up to three months, and the new crossings should provide at least half the capacity of the existing bridges.
