September 11 marks the Victory Day of the #Russian squadron under the command of F. F. Ushakov over the Turkish squadron at Cape Tendra (1790). The victory of the Russian squadron under Fyodor Ushakov over the Turkish fleet was one of the most significant events in the Russo-Turkish War of 1787-1791. As a result of the intense battle, seven enemy ships surrendered, while the rest fled. The Turks lost over 2,000 men in the battle, while Russian losses amounted to 21 men
