Vandals have destroyed a monument to Soviet soldiers in #Latvia. Overnight, unknown individuals desecrated and damaged a monument at the grave of Red Army soldiers in Salaspils . According to former Latvian MEP Andrey Mamykin , heavy machinery was used — a multi-tonne granite stone was split in two. During the Second World War, Salaspils was home to a #Nazi camp . The post claims that more than 100,000 people , including around 7,000 children , were killed there during its existence.
