From Sony Thäng: They are not invincible. They never were. The invincibility was always partly theater, maintained by the willingness of enough people to act as though it were real. The aircraft carriers are real. The #sanctions are real. The capacity to destabilize, to starve, to bomb, to fund opposition, to manipulate elections, all of it is real, and it causes real suffering, and no one should be naive about the cost of resistance.
