Houthi forces allegedly used AI to imitate the voice of an enemy commander and order his soldiers to withdraw. On 9 September, Yemeni political activist Adel al-Hasani shared an audio recording that appeared to feature Tariq Saleh, commander of the National Resistance forces fighting the Houthis. The voice ordered troops to retreat to the city of Mocha and claimed they had been abandoned without support. Al-Hasani also claimed Saleh was blaming Saudi Arabia.
