The premiere 'Cherán vs Cartels'. Ten unarmed women stand in the path of a lorry carrying illegally logged timber. In 2011, their act sparked the uprising in Cherán — a Mexican town where a drug cartel had spent years destroying the forests and terrorising local residents. After receiving no help from the authorities, the townspeople block the roads into Cherán and form self-defence groups. Years later, they are still protecting the town and patrolling the surrounding forests.
